We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Solution Consultant to join our global team. This position is integral to our commercial success, acting as the primary product and solution subject matter expert throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will combine a deep market knowledge with a strong conceptual grasp of technology to devise effective client solutions.
This role is centered on business and product expertise. The candidate will be a passionate advocate for financial technology, acting as a product evangelist to clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders. They will be responsible for understanding client business challenges and demonstrating how our products provide a tangible solution and add demonstrable value, supported by our dedicated technical teams for deep implementation specifics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales Directors to perform in-depth discovery of prospective client business requirements and operational workflows.
- Translate complex client requirements into high-level solution designs, demonstrating how smartTrade’s products address specific business challenges.
- Lead the development and delivery of compelling, business-focused product demonstrations, workshops, and executive-level presentations.
- Lead the solution-oriented sections of formal client responses (RFPs, RFIs), ensuring proposals are commercially sound and aligned with client needs.
- Act as the primary liaison for solution design between the commercial teams and internal product, engineering, and delivery functions during the pre-sales process.
- Partner with internal engineering and delivery teams to confirm the technical viability of proposed solutions, ensuring a seamless handover from pre-sales to implementation.
- Serve as a product evangelist, championing smartTrade’s solutions with passion and expertise at industry conferences, client workshops, and other external engagements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a pre-sales, product specialist, trading, front office support, business analyst or similar role.
- Essential: A deep and practical understanding of FX markets and electronic trading lifecycles, or cross-border payment systems. This expertise must have been acquired through experience at a capital markets technology vendor (in a front, middle, or back-office capacity) or from working directly within a bank.
- Mandatory product knowledge must include deliverable FX instruments such as Spot, Forwards, and Swaps, as well as Non-Deliverable products (NDFs, NDS).
- A demonstrable passion for the FX market and a natural ability to act as a product evangelist, articulating technology solutions with enthusiasm and conviction.
- A conceptual understanding of the technology underpinning electronic trading is required (e.g., FIX & REST APIs, low latency technology, SaaS). Please note: This is not a development role, and programming knowledge is not a prerequisite.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of adjacent asset classes including Cryptocurrencies, Money Markets, and FX Options is a strong plus.
- A passion for and an understanding of how new technology such as LLMs, ML, and analytics is being used in capital markets is a plus.
- Professional Attributes: Exceptional presentation and client-engagement skills with proven experience delivering impactful demonstrations. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Business fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Spanish is a significant plus.
