smartTrade is looking for a Technical Product Specialist based in Aix en Provence.
Your Missions:
The position is to be filled within the POK (Product Operations and Knowledge) team. The team is responsible for managing the product knowledge of our software solutions, for supporting smartTrade teams for their knowledge-related enquiries and maintaining several custom-build tools.
You will be an internal referent on our software solutions and will contribute to the progress of customer projects at different stages (specifications, development, production, etc.).
You will be responsible for writing functional and technical guides in English. These guides are used by our internal teams and by our clients, prestigious financial institutions located around the world. You will also participate in monitoring the software improvements and provide training to client-facing smartTrade teams on newly developed features.
By joining us as a member of the POK team, you will be entrusted with the following missions:
- Writing functional and technical guides describing software solutions,
- Become a referent on one or more software solutions, in its functional and technical aspects,
- Provide training sessions and material to internal teams and assist them in their product knowledge needs, in particular: development teams, project teams and pre-sales teams,
- Occasionally participate in development meetings to provide insights on the software and assist in the specification of new features.
Note:
We are considering 2 types of profiles for these job openings:
- A “technical writer” profile, with experience in product knowledge and documentation, who is expected to,
- A “technical tooling” profile, with experience in development, to maintain our tools, and contribute to product documentation to a lesser extent.

Your qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor degree (in a relevant domain, such as IT, translation, English, technology)
- 1 to 3 years of work experience in Financial or Information Systems
- Good communication skills with strong written and oral skills in English
- Good relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in MS Office, Google suite or similar
- Experience in functional or technical writing
Preferred:
- Knowledge and interest for market finance, ideally in FX (Foreign Exchange)
- Aptitude and interest in Information Technology (Windows, web technologies, Git, Eclipse, Java)
- Aptitude/Interest in User Experience concepts
- Aptitude with picture and video editing tools
- Experience in diagram creation and presentations crafting
Compensation:
Base salary: 30/32K€ + Variable compensation
